Houthis states MAGIC SEAS sunk in Red Sea
According to a statement broadcast by the group’s military spokesperson Yahya Sarea on Houthi-operated television, the vessel was targeted as part of a response to what the group described as repeated violations of a ban on ships entering Israeli ports.
"The ship MAGIC SEAS sank completely in the depths of the Red Sea after our armed forces targeted it," Sarea declared. He further claimed that the vessel’s owner had ignored prior warnings, stating, "The latest of these violations was the entry of three of the company's ships into occupied Palestinian ports last week, despite warnings from our naval forces."
Sarea also stated that the event had been fully recorded, saying, "The moments of the sinking are documented in audio and videotape."
In a separate statement, the United Arab Emirates’ Foreign Ministry confirmed that all 22 people aboard the vessel, including both crew members and security personnel, were successfully rescued following the incident.
